The Great Khali Taking Control over Batista

WWE John Cena and Mysterio Injury Updates

As noted before, Rey Mysterio has been pulled from this weekend’s WWE live events and will be replaced by Big Show in matches against Alberto Del Rio. This is part of John Laurinaitis agreeing to give Mysterio an even easier schedule while he’s working around the shoulder tear. Rey will continue to work all TV tapings and pay-per-view events but will be working limited live event dates for the time being.

There’s still no word yet on the severity of John Cena’s hip injury or if he will return to ring action next week but with WWE officials really wanting him healthy enough to perform in the Royal Rumble match, it’s likely he will be kept off live events until then. If he’s healthy enough until then, Cena may work some TV matches.

WWE Championship Match at Wrestlmania XXVII

For John Cena, the Road to WrestleMania has become a familiar path, one he’s ridden many times with great success. For WWE Champion The Miz, however, the Road to WrestleMania is a road less traveled. And perhaps that will make all the difference when the two meet in Atlanta at their WWE Title Match.

Superstar Batista Leaving Next Month?

Dude Batista
In the main evnet of Monday’s WWE RAW, Batista defeated Randy Orton and Sheamus (with help from Edge) in a triple threat match to become the no. 1 contender to John Cena’s WWE Championship. Batista will face Cena at WWE’s new Over The Limit pay-per-view on May 23rd.
Batista will be appearing on WWE’s tour of Mexico during the second week of May. Following his match with John Cena at Over the Limit, he will be officially leaving the company. With one of the company’s top stars of the past decade leaving for good, expect a lot of buildup to his match with Cena next month.
While the idea of Batista becoming a free agent might sound great to TNA fans, don’t expect him to follow in the foot steps of Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam. The Animal plans to pursue a movie career and has aspirations to be the next WWE superstar to cross over into full time acting.

Superstar Batista Quits WWE

WWE Superstar Batista Quits WWE
One night after losing an “I Quit” Match to WWE Champion John Cena at Over the Limit, Batista wasn’t in shape to do much of anything – except whine. The Superstar was helped to the ring to complain about his loss the night before and to demand another rematch. His rant was cut short, however, by Raw’s new General Manager Bret Hart.
The WWE Hall of Famer announced a series of qualifying matches for next month’s brand new Fatal 4-Way pay-per-view, at which Cena will defend his title in a Fatal 4-Way Match. The first qualifier announced was Batista against Randy Orton, but when The Animal refused, he automatically forfeited the match.
An enraged Batista went ballistic, screaming at Hart before finally telling the WWE Universe, “I quit!” The Animal was then assisted from the ring and eventually from the arena.

WWE Superstar Batista Latest Updates of Wrestling Career

Batista
As noted before, Batista was at last week’s Strikeforce MMA show and made it clear that he left WWE because he was unhappy with the direction of the company. A reporter asked Batista if he would do something like Chris Jericho and return in a year or two. Batista said he didn’t want to be compared to Jericho and said he had no plans on returning but did not rule out a return one day.
Batista joked that he was in Los Angeles looking for work and said he’s open for offers, be it MMA or acting. Batista has had discussions about doing a reality TV show.
Batista also claims that he has been approached with an offer by a non-major MMA group. Word is that it’s a big money offer and is for two fights, likely pay-per-view events and the first opponent would be a well-known former headliner. This is the same offer that Batista hinted around about when he was leaving WWE. It should also be noted that Scott Scoker (Strikeforce owner) and ‘Big Dave’ had a meeting at last week’s show as well and they were said to have been interested but no deal was signed.
Batista has been training regularly at the Affliction gym and has dropped considerable weight since leaving WWE. Most believe that a MMA career for Batista is highly unlikely, given his age and experience, among other things although he believes it’s very possible.
Batista’s contract with WWE has expired and he is a free agent. Batista claims TNA did make him an offer but with the large amount of money they have spent on bringing in other big names recently, they couldn’t come close to matching what he had been earning in WWE.

Former WWE Star Batista Lands New Movie Role

The Former WWE Superstar is ready to entertain his fans with his upcoming movie. Batista got role in the new movie. The RZA has announced that former WWE star Batista has joined the cast of his new movie, “The Man with the Iron Fist” starring Academy Award winner Russell Crowe.
RZA spoke to movie news site ComingSoon.net and had the following to say about Batista’s involvement:
“I would love to bring these worlds together. That’s what I’m striving to do. My budget is not as big as some of these movies, so I’ve got to pull a lot of favors. Another buddy who is on board is Dave Batista, the world wrestling champion who left and now he’s into Strikeforce and he’s going to be doing mixed martial arts. To have him come on as Glass Body, when I talked to him about it, he was like, “I always wanted to be The Toad in ‘Five Deadly Venoms,’” and I said, this isn’t The Toad but the character is very similar, and he said it would be his honor to do it. So to have him and Russell Crowe standing beside each other, two men, real men, is exciting. But I’m looking to make this an international thing that brings both worlds under one umbrella and get out a good piece of art.”
